Update on All Are Not Welcome
Following the release of our documentary, All Are Not Welcome: The Downfall of the Episcopal Church and How to Reform Her, which had gained approximately 40,000 views, Church Reform Initiative received a copyright removal notice from YouTube concerning a brief clip featuring the Rev. Mike Angell.
We believed the footage was protected under fair use because it was included for documentary commentary and criticism.
In response, we contacted YouTube support, requested a manual review, sought clarification about the complaint, and attempted to appeal the decision. Despite these efforts, YouTube maintained its seven-day removal deadline and offered no meaningful opportunity for review before the takedown.
Rather than risk a copyright strike against our channel, we removed the disputed footage, edited the documentary, and uploaded a revised version.
The documentary remains available, and its central message is unchanged.
